Spicy hot tea just for us to make up for this cold winter season.

Last year our daughter Kathy visited us in Florida and we ate at a fish restaurant which used :unknown oil to fry the fish leaving Kathy with a bad stomach ache.    I told her I had the perfect remedy and drove her over to a little Vietnamese restaurant to drink down special spicy ginger peppermint vietnamese tea   -   It worked wonders fast.

Then a couple weeks ago our other daughter Debby and husband Andy visited us and I told them about this awesome tea.    So I made it up for them.   They were amazed how marvelous the tea was and how excellent this will be to make when back in Wisconsin for the winter cold weather.

It is like a flu, cold, fever, sick healing tea.    Just amazing.
Here is the recipe:   For one pot that makes about 3-4 cups.
4 cups water in pan
20 slices of fresh ginger  (peel ginger)
5 slices fresh garlic (peel garlic)
1/3 cup local raw honey
2-3 drops of clove oil (optional)  or 1-2 tablespoon whole cloves
cayenne pepper ( I used 5 droppers o Alice's tincture cayenne pepper  so if
using powdered cayenne pepper, add it slowly till you get a good tingle
    flavor-
Put all ingredients in the pan of water and mix well.
I added two tea bags of Bigalow's Constant Comment tea
Bring to boil and turn off and let steep for at least 15 minutes.

Drink up and enjoy the awesome feeling.......

Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.   Great if left overnight and heated up next morning for breakfast
To make a large batch to have handy
Water in pan - Guessing about 8 cups
1/2 cup sliced ginger
1/3 cup sliced garlic
1/2 cup local raw honey
3-4 drops of clove oil (or 3-4 tablespoons whole cloves)
6 droppers of cayenne pepper or if powdered cayenne pepper make sure
it is enough to make it hot tingle taste

**  Can add peppermint essential oil
** Can also add lemon juice

I made up a large batch and we have been drinking it for breakfast and supper  -  what a marvelous healthy drink........
