We are Chris and Missy Riggs and we live in DeKalb, IL. We have 3 adult children, Drake who is married to our daughter-in-law Cheyenne and lives in Texas, Mackenzie who in a relationship with Drew and they have 2 children Beckett who is 5 years old and Sawyer who is almost 6 months old, they live in DeKalb, IL our home town, and Logan our youngest who is in the United States Air Force and stationed overseas. We were married the first time October 13th, 2001 after a life full of chaos and muck we divorced on March 13th, 2017, just over 2 years after Chris found Jesus. I found Jesus again a month and a half after our divorce and we started dating again in November of 2017. We entered a covenant marriage on May 31st, 2020 and have been walking out this new marriage with God in the middle since. We attend Beloved Church where we both are part of the Leadership Team, Chris is Head Usher/Security and I am the Nursery Ministry Leader. Chris attended Charis Bible College and graduated in May 2025, and since he started ministering in prisons and jails. We both have been serving in Christian communities like Abundant Life Tres Dias and Illinois Credo Recovery. I am attending Charis Bible College and Gateway Tech College for nursing and will graduate both in May 2027. We both are excited to see what God has planned for us as we keep walking this path with Him.
What We Believe
What Does El Shaddai Mean? El Shaddai is a Hebrew name for God that means God Almighty or The All-Sufficient One. It speaks of God’s unlimited strength, His faithful provision, and His sufficiency to meet every need we may have. The name first appears in Genesis 17:1–2, where God reveals Himself to Abraham as the Almighty God who blesses, multiplies, and fulfills His promises.
El Shaddai is not limited by natural circumstances, but is able to provide supernatural provision, strength, and miracles for His people. As seen in John 10:10, God desires for us to have life "more abundantly." El Shaddai is the God who is more than enough; able to turn situations around and supply every need with His power, grace, and overflowing blessing.

El Shaddai Christian Fellowship was founded on the principle that we can know what the will of God is, because God’s will is His word. Pastor's dynamic teaching and unique revelation of scripture resurrects hope, ignites faith, and presents the gospel with clarity and simplicity. This helps us be doers of the Word of God as it says in James 1:22, “We are to be doers of the Word, not hearers only.” It is our covenant promise to you that we will preach the pure Word of God until the day that Jesus returns for His glorified church. As the glorious church, we worship Him in Spirit and Truth. This is an emphasis at El Shaddai Christian Fellowship as we diligently seek after the truth of God’s Word.
